Say YES to Adventure

And so I begin my blog as many fairy tales do, with a Once upon a time...

I began my journey to a new land (South Dakota) yesterday and arrived today after quite the journey. On our way, we spent a lot of time in Minnesota. We saw interesting places and stopped at what intrigued us the most...the SPAM Museum. It was everything you would hope it could be with everything from a SPAM wall to games where you could catapult cows and chickens to protect your castle from the French invaders! It was a lot of fun! It was actually the first time I had ever actually eaten SPAM...and I enjoyed it. :) We then went on to Blue Earth, MN, where we saw the 55 ft tall Jolly Green Giant and learned some interesting facts about him! If you ever get a chance, I would say both places are well worth it!

Today, I actually got to South Dakota and drove to campus with knots in my stomach and hope in my eyes, not really quite sure how it was going to go. When I reached my hall, I was greeted by a team of move in volunteers ready to unload my van and my mom's car. The smiles continued as boxes were hauled in quickly to my very new apartment. I am so grateful to the anonymous-for-now crew that moved me in. It was such a great experience!

As I unpacked, I realized how much I have grown up and how much growing up I still have to do...but I am definitely excited for this adventure!
